Announces Signing of Collaboration Agreement with Pfizer
San Diego, CA -- January 24, 2007 -- MediVas, LLC, developer of novel
drug delivery platforms, today announced the signing of a collaborative research
agreement with Pfizer. The agreement is focused on the research and development
of advanced delivery methods for proprietary Pfizer compounds to treat diseases
of the eye. By combining the fully biodegradable and biocompatible MediVas
polymers with the Pfizer compounds, MediVas and Pfizer hope to create a product
that can change the paradigm of how ophthalmic treatments are administered.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Commenting on the announcement, Kenneth W. Carpenter, MediVas’ President and CEO
