MediVas, LLC Signs $6,334,585 Biotech Lease on Nancy Ridge
SAN DIEGO -- August 25, 2004 -- Burnham Real Estate * ONCOR International announces that MediVas LLC has signed an 80-month, $6,334,585 lease for 47,347 square feet of chemistry and biology lab space located in Carroll Vista Center at 6275 Nancy Ridge Dr., in San Diego (92121). Concurrently, the Burnham team negotiated a termination of Chugai Pharma's remaining 20 month obligation at the building, thus allowing Medivas to sign a direct lease with the Landlord at an artificially low rental rate with contractual expansion rights.
MediVas, a biomedical company with patented polymers that complement drug, gene, and biologic delivery, will move into its new headquarters location starting in September 2004.
Burnham's Life Sciences Group, comprising of Brent Jacobs, Greg Bisconti, and Brian Cooper, represented the tenant, Medivas LLC. Phil Matchett of CarrAmerica represented the landlord, CarrAmerica.
